Maintenance/Inspection

In order to maintain the integrity of the TXO2 unit, replacement parts such as the mask assembly and activating pins must be original equipment. This is also a warranty requirement.

Recommended Inspection (may coordinate with AED inspection when applicable):

Visual Inspection

Once a month check to confirm:

1. Time remaining gauge is in the GREEN range.

2. Flow indicator is RED and connections to it are secure.

3. CPR mask is present and clean; cushion is at least half inflated, elastic strap is attached,

one-way valve is attached and completely seated in mask.

4. Tubing is intact and securely attached to CPR mask and regulator hose barb.

5. Portable pin is present and attached to handle plate by chain.

6. Components are clean and dry.

Operational Inspection

Initially and once every 6 months thereafter:

1.  Pull the cylinder-regulator off the stationary pin to confirm operation.

2.  Check for flow (i.e., flow indicator is GREEN and hear oxygen "hiss"), then reset back on pin.

3.  Perform monthly-recommended inspection (see above).

Every 5 years
Return the unit to an authorized supplier for hydrostatic cylinder testing and regulator conformance verification.
(Note: this step may also be performed at time of refill)

It is recommended that the inspecting party document and/or tabulate the above inspections.
